EClip is a free add-on for Chrome that facilitates clipboard sharing across multiple browsers signed into the same Google account. This tool leverages Chrome's sync storage to monitor clipboard changes, allowing users to save their clipboard content and retrieve it on other devices seamlessly. The extension is designed to enhance productivity by ensuring that clipboard data is readily available wherever the user is working, eliminating the need for manual copying and pasting across devices.
The functionality of EClip is straightforward; the extension icon blinks blue when new clipboard content is detected and turns green when the synced content is successfully received. Users should note that there is a limit of 7000 bytes for the clipboard content, which means longer entries will be truncated. Additionally, clicking the extension icon temporarily disables the sync feature, while hovering over it displays the first 40 characters of the last synced clipboard.
